A little preview of who Judge Louis is… One of the most thoughtful and inspiring judges in the SDFL, Judge Lauren Louis became a United States Magistrate Judge in February 2018. Prior to that, she was an attorney at Boies Schiller Flexner in Miami, where her husband, Dore Louis, now works as an attorney. A life in service is not new to the Judge. Indeed, after graduating from Fordham Law, the Baltimore native clerked for U.S. District Court Judge K. Michael Moore, which is what bought her to Miami. After her clerkship, she was an AUSA in the SDFL for several years. Judge Louis has two children and, somehow, manages to have done all of this – and still juggle and do it all!
